Terms of Service

By using Engane.AI, you agree to:

• Comply with these Terms of Service
• Be at least 13 years of age, and if you are under 18, have your parent's or legal guardian's permission to use Engane.AI
• Use the service only for lawful purposes
• Not violate any applicable laws or regulations

If you are the parent or legal guardian of a person aged 13 to 17 and you allow them to use Engane.AI, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy on your own behalf and on theirs, and you are responsible for their use of the service, including any purchases made on their account.

Engane.AI provides:

• AI-powered chatbot services in Malayalam language
• Voice conversation capabilities
• Text-to-speech and speech-to-text features
• Web search integration for current information
• Conversation history and memory features

You may NOT use Engane.AI to:

• Generate illegal, harmful, or offensive content
• Harass, abuse, or harm others
• Spread misinformation or fake news
• Violate intellectual property rights
• Attempt to bypass safety measures or restrictions
• Use automated systems to access the service excessively
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract our AI models
• Use the service for spam or commercial solicitation
• Threaten or endanger anyone, share sexual content involving minors, or seek illegal drugs or weapons

Messages are automatically screened for possible abuse, threats, self-harm, or illegal content, and authorised Engane staff may review flagged or reported conversations, as described in our Privacy Policy.

• Engane.AI™, എങ്ങനെ.AI™ and the elephant logo are trade marks of Thompson Consulting (OPC) Private Limited.
• The app and website design, code, text, question banks (Personality, IQ, Career — except the public-domain IPIP personality items), Malayalam translations, lesson and report formats, illustrations, animations, videos and music made for Engane.AI are owned by or licensed to Thompson Consulting (OPC) Private Limited and protected by the Copyright Act, 1957 and international copyright law.
• You may use Engane.AI for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, scrape, republish, sell or build a competing product from our question banks (except the public-domain IPIP personality items), lessons, report formats, illustrations, videos, music or code without our written permission
• Material that belongs to others stays theirs and is used under its own licence: the Malayalam dictionary data (Open Database Licence, credited on the Dictionary page), the fonts (SIL Open Font Licence), the game photos from Wikimedia Commons, the O*NET career data, the IPIP personality items, the MET Norway weather data, and the names and marks of the AI companies whose models we use. Each one, its licence, and the AI tools used to make our illustrations, videos and music are listed on our Credits page
• Your saved personality, IQ and career results and your study classes are for you. You may share them yourself; the share cards and PDFs keep the Engane.AI mark
• You retain ownership of the content you create and share
• By using our service, you grant us a license to process your inputs to provide responses
• We do not claim ownership of your conversations

• Free tier users receive limited daily messages
• Paid subscriptions provide additional features and message limits
• Website payments are processed securely in INR through Razorpay (Cashfree for older orders); purchases made inside the Android app are billed by Google Play
• Website plans are prepaid for a fixed duration and do NOT auto-renew — you are never charged again without a new purchase. Google Play subscriptions renew through Google until you cancel them in the Play Store
• Prepaid credits are valid for 12 months from purchase and are shared between the website and the app
• Refunds and cancellations are governed by our Refunds & Cancellations policy
• We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days notice
• Engane.AI is a product of THOMPSON CONSULTING (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED, Pune, Maharashtra, India (see Contact Us)

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The service is provided "as is" without warranties
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the last 12 months

• You may terminate your account at any time
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms
• When you delete your account it is disabled immediately, and it and its data are permanently deleted after 7 days (see the Privacy Policy, section 4)
• Sections on intellectual property and limitation of liability survive termination

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Kerala, India.
